We want you to feel comfortable through your entire experience with us – from check-in to check-out. We know there may be a lot of questions right now about what to expect when staying at IHG® Army Hotels and what safety measures are in place. And we want to answer those, and other questions, in the best way we can.
What is IHG Army Hotels?
Through one of the world’s largest hotel groups by number of rooms, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®), and a leading international property and infrastructure group, Lendlease, IHG Army Hotels was born. We understand that military travel is not like civilian travel, which is why our goal is to create a great on-post stay for you, your family, and all guests.
IHG Army Hotels is made up of IHG brand hotels that you know and love both off and on-post: Holiday Inn Express®, Staybridge Suites®, Candlewood Suites ®, and the IHG Army Hotels Historia CollectionTM . Learn more about us in our blog post “What is IHG Army Hotels, Anyway?”
What are the IHG Army Hotels travel policies and advisories during COVID-19?
Please visit our website to get all of the specific details of our travel advisory, including links to IHG® cancellation policies, hospitality measures, etc. https://www.ihg.com/armyhotels/content/us/en/travel-advisory
What specific policy or service changes should I be aware of when visiting an IHG Army Hotel?
- Housekeeping services will be limited to once per week; no weekend services will be offered. Should you need clean linens and/or towels, please call the front desk and we will exchange them upon request. For disposal of trash, please use the main trash cans or set your trash can outside your guest room door and our staff will dispose of it for you.
- Shuttle services are discontinued with exception to emergencies. Please call the front desk for information and options if transportation is needed.
- “Grab & Go” Breakfast – In compliance of social distancing practices similar to restaurant dining room closures, we have moved to a Grab & Go breakfast offering. There may be limited breakfast hours; please see the front desk for details.
- Pool, Fitness center and Business center, where available, will be closed until post restrictions are lifted.
- The Weekly Social will be cancelled until further notice.
- Water fountains and water dispensers will be disabled.
- We will no longer offer 24/7 coffee in the public areas. However, you can continue to use in-room coffee makers where available.
- Where a Lending Locker is available, items may be limited to those that can be cleaned and disinfected after use.
- Rates have been revised, and in many cases, agreements have been reached per post to help Service members who have been impacted by the Stop Movement order.
- IHG® Rewards Club: All members’ program status will be automatically extended through January 2022, allowing members to enjoy all the benefits of the status they earned during 2019. We paused points expiry until December 31, 2020 for Club members (points normally expire after 12 months of inactivity). Points never expire for all members with Elite status (Gold, Platinum and Spire) - a key benefit of our program.
- Food deliveries on post: Our policies vary by post, but food delivery is available where there are local food outlets. Some posts have also made arrangements for food trucks to be available.
Check-in procedures at an IHG Army Hotel.
All of our hotels are now offering a modified check in experience; there are large shields separating the front desk staff from guests, and all of our team members are wearing face masks as well. Hand sanitizer stations have been placed throughout the lobby, and floor areas have been marked with 6-ft distancing signage.
Upon arrival and check-in at our hotels, please confirm official or unofficial status. To do so, present your government travel card and identification, official travel orders, government-issued ID, or other Cost Reimbursable Contractor (CRC) identification.
Who can stay and how to make a reservation.
Everyone – military personnel, family members, guests of all types – is welcome to stay at an IHG Army Hotel. But, there is a catch! You must have on-post access. Each installation has different requirements for acquiring access. Please check the post access contact list to contact the installation you plan to visit for the most up-to-date guidelines.
As for booking your stay with us, please visit our website for easy online reservations.
