What is IHG® Army Hotels, anyway?

Not only have you heard of hotel chains like Holiday Inn Express®, Candlewood Suites®, and Staybridge Suites®, but more than likely you’ve stayed in one in the past. These hotels all fall under the InterContinental Hotels Group umbrella, also known as IHG®.

IHG understands the unique needs and demands placed on our military personnel when it comes to travel. That’s why when the U.S. Army established the Privatization of Army Lodging program, or PAL, we were honored to partner with Lendlease (US) Public Partnerships, in 2009, to bring IHG Army Hotels to life.

IHG Army Hotels is committed to providing great on-post stay experiences for military personnel and their families. We are in the process of renovating and revitalizing our hotels on 41 military installations. In fact, we reinvest $39 of every $100 spent into renovating existing IHG Army Hotels and building brand new ones.

The IHG Army Hotels that have finished renovations become Holiday Inn Express hotels. Our new hotels are Candlewood Suites and Staybridge Suites and as their names imply, they are all suite hotels, complete with fully equipped kitchens and additional living and work space.

IHG Army Hotels that have historical significance are renovated to preserve the rich architecture and historic character are part of the Historia Collection.

Each brand in the collection of IHG Army Hotels has unique offerings. You can learn more about each of them here.

However, in all of our hotels, you can expect standard complimentary amenities including:
